The French brand Coperni was founded by Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant in 2013. After five years of Vaillant's work at Balenciaga and Chanel and many design projects by Meyer, the duo realized their dream by launching their own brand Coperni Femme. The name of the company was inspired by the life work of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, whose research was the basis for the visual world of the brand.
Coperni quickly became one of the few Parisian brands rethinking the concept of French style through a modern prism. When designing collections, the priority of designers is the perfect cut that women would be pleased to wear. In recent years, the brand has moved a little away from the French style, offering minimalistic, but at the same time bold clothes — pieces that easily transform from a business uniform into a party outfit that a modern city girl can wear.
